Hines Ward, after winning Dancing with the Stars, says victory is “right up there” with winning the Superbowl. At Fantasy Healthball, we are big fans of dancing to get in shape and lose weight. And, no, we ain’t talking no Richard Simmons. Check out Hines’ moves at this video. But any kind of dancing will get your blood pumping and calories burning. In our exercise tips, we list dancing as a moderate physical activity unless you go all Kevin Bacon in Footloose, or now, Hines Ward in Dancing with the Stars – then you can count it as vigorous!
So let’s say you are gonna bust a “vigorous” move to get some exercise while having fun. 20 minutes. That is only about 5 songs. Need some song advice? Check out these groove ideas. You can’t help but have a smile on your face while burning those calories.
Hines Ward has been on a couple of my fantasy football teams and helped me win the fantasy championship. But now I know he was hardly breaking a sweat. Ward says that his dancing victory was “definitely harder” than winning two Superbowls and a Superbowl MVP! Take THAT NFL defenses! Kirstie Alley was a more intimidating foe than all those trash talking cornerbacks and linebackers.
So crank up some music and do a 20 minute dance. Apparently, if you can do that, you no doubt could win a Superbowl MVP! You can count in for your daily exercise challenge on our scorecard if you are playing Fantasy Healthball with us.
Okay, so who is the best NFL dancing machine ever? Cast your votes folks for Hines Ward? Jerry Rice? Chad Ochocinco? William “the Refrigerator” Perry doing the Superbowl Shuffle? Emmit Smith? Lawrence Taylor? Warren Sapp? Kurt Warner? The Fantasy Healthball vote goes to none other than All-World Running Back Walter Payton for his smooth moves on Soul Train! — Jim Ballard (check out the new book)
